2011 Season Wrap up - Ironman Training IPOD Playlist recap

2011 was filled with complete craziness. It started with Ragnar Miami to Key West 190 mile relay race in January. My friend and I got 'stuck' in Key West with the Atlanta ice storm canceling all flights back, darn it, such a shame.

Started a new job in February after working in International corporate wellness consulting in SE Asia for a couple of years. Hooked up with TNT and started fundraising and training for Ironman Arizona with an amazing group of athletes (and now great friends) in March. This was my first triathlon season in 7 years - yes, I said 7 years.

First tri was Peachtree City International. Loved this race, challenging but not too bad. Especially since I had been out of the game for so long. You can see my race report in my blog so I'll spare the details here.

Second tri was the Augusta Half Ironman. Great time with the team, struggled with nutrition but finished with a smile so there you go. Race report filed for this too.

Season ended with Ironman Arizona. That.Just.Happened. as my friend Paige would say. I can't wait to volunteer for her Ironman Debut at Ironman CDA in 2012. She is going to KILL it!

I've got some totals from ironman training for the year that our coaches sent:
Swim: 337,475 yards (which equals 191.75 miles)
Bike: 3,227 miles
Run: 729.3 miles
Total Hours Training:  507:26:00 (which equals 21 days, 3 hours, 26 minutes)
Total Training Miles:  4,148

Finally, I have to share a portion of my 2011 Ironman training playlist since music has been such a big piece of my blog. Bizarre taste I know but hey, it got me through the miles listed above so it can't be all bad:
